Criminal law criminal procedure

The Department of "Criminal Law and Criminology" was organized by dividing the Department of "Criminal Law, Procedure and Criminalistics" into two departments according to the decision of the Academic Council of the SKSU named after. M. Auezov dated August 28, 2015. In accordance with the state license of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the department provides training of highly qualified specialists who are able to quickly and adequately respond to the changing realities of our time, who speak foreign languages. The teaching staff (TS) of the department are highly qualified scientific and practical workers.
Among the 26 members of the teaching staff - 1 Doctor of Law, Professor, 5 Candidates of Law, 11 senior lecturers, including 10 Masters of Law, 3 lecturers. Training of specialists is conducted in the state and Russian languages in full-time and evening forms of education. The main goal and direction of the department's activity is to explain to students studying in criminal law specialization the basic principles of branches of law, prevention, disclosure of crimes related to the protection of personal rights and freedoms of each citizen, work with legal acts and their correct application in practice and in life . The faculty of the department, along with conducting classes for students studying law, is comprehensively engaged in scientific and methodological, research work, participate in various levels of international, republican and university scientific conferences, olympiads, cultural events.
The main goal of the faculty of the department is to contribute to strengthening the legal foundations of the state as a qualified specialist, as well as to train qualified specialists. In the process of learning, students study the theory of state and law, the history of political and legal doctrines, the history of the domestic state and law, the history of the state and the law of foreign countries, constitutional law, administrative law, financial law, civil law, civil procedural law, criminal law, criminal procedural law, criminalistics, environmental law, land law, labor law, international law, private international law, customs law, state law, constitutional law of foreign countries, criminology, prosecutorial supervision, fundamentals of legal statistics, business law, family law, other legal disciplines, as well as a foreign language, social and humanitarian disciplines and various courses of in-depth study of certain areas of legal knowledge within the framework of specialization.

Scientific conferences are meetings of colleagues who come together to exchange experiences, discuss common problems and develop solutions to them. How useful such meetings are for young professionals who aspire to devote themselves to science in matters of criminal law and legislation can be analyzed based on work experience. The content of the reports presented at the conferences shows that young scientists and students have sufficient knowledge in the field of assessment as a law enforcement practice. Participation in the discussions showed that the younger generation not only actively delves into the essence of legal problems, but also has its own opinion about the shortcomings made when trying to solve them. In order to attract more students to the conference, the department twice a year organizes scientific conferences on topical issues of criminal law science that excite young scientists.

Students live an active and interesting life and take part in all general university affairs through student government and public deans, have their permanent representatives in the Student Council at SKU. M. Auezov. At the disposal of students are various youth clubs, SNO "Themis", sports sections, the KVN club and others. Students participate in various city and republican competitions, such as KVN, Olympiads. The department traditionally maintains a close relationship with the law enforcement agencies of the South Kazakhstan region. In addition, in the main building of the SKSU named after. M. Auezov, the Hall of Court Sessions was opened, the purpose of which is to conduct demonstration trials and sessions of Shymkent, gaming trials.
