General information

The Department of "International Relations and International Law" trains and graduates bachelors in the specialty: 5B020200 - "International Relations" and 5B030400 - "International Law". knowledge in the field of Asian and African countries, a new history of Europe and America in the field of politics and modern international trends, diplomatic and consular services, organization, stages and directions of the foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, collective directions of multilateral diplomacy, diplomacy and development, the current state of economic relations in world sphere, knowledge of diplomatic protocol and etiquette, in the study of a foreign language. Today, there is a growing demand on the market for specialists who are creatively thinking graduates of higher education that meet international standards. This sphere of international relations, world politics, which determine the most important aspects of the modern look, makes it possible to receive a quality education in new areas.
Teachers of the department "International Relations and International Law" work in two main specialties. The teachers of the department have academic degrees, among them are candidates of science in the specialties "international relations" and "international law": Kamaldinov R.A., Shabanov E.I., Taubaeva M.E., Mamasharipova G.A., Bekbosynov E.T. experience and in-depth lectures for students based on knowledge are very interesting and entertaining. In addition, Turymshaeva A.T., Bedebaev T.A., Garifulla A., Abduali M. as masters and senior lecturers. Specialty training is carried out in the state, official and English languages.
The level of demand in the labor market for qualified graduates in the specialty "international relations" fully satisfies the local residents of the country. Many graduates of the department work at enterprises and in government, in various responsible and private services. Some of the graduates continue their knowledge abroad in institutions of higher education known in Western Europe. The teaching staff as holders of the Bolashak international scholarship study in America, Canada, France and the UK, our best students and undergraduates go for semester studies to foreign universities. Our graduates from SKU named after M. Auezov, majoring in "International Relations" continue to study at the magistracy at KazNU. Al-Farabi and A. L. ENU named after Gumilyov, as well as in the magistracy of other higher educational institutions, the indicators of each year of study of our graduates in improving their knowledge at a high level, and the department cooperates with the center of the French language.

Research and educational work

The teaching staff of the department "International Relations and International Law" SKU named after M. Auezov carries out its activities in accordance with the thematic plan of research work. The teachers of the department publish their articles and papers in the journals of the Republic of Kazakhstan, presented by the ST Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the region, with zero non-impact factor (Scopus, Thompson Reuters, Elsevier) and in the RSCI journals, as well as articles are published in collections of international conferences.
In addition, the teachers of the department conduct research work together with the students of the university. Under the guidance of teachers, students take an active part in organized conferences of the faculty and the university. And also take part in regional, regional, city conferences. Teachers and students take an active part in republican and international scientific-technical and scientific-methodical conferences that take place in different cities of Russia and Kazakhstan. Teachers of the department hold meetings, round tables with workers from other scientific fields.
Educational work is also carried out at curatorial hours on the topics of spiritual and national education of ancestors, adhering to an individual approach to the development of the country, to positively influence the minds of the younger generation, and indicate a reliable step into the future. September 11, 2018 at the South Kazakhstan University. M. Auezov, the opening ceremony of the Korean Educational Center was held with the participation of the delegation of the Embassy of South Korea in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sanmeng University (South Korea), with the faculty and students of the Department of International Relations and Customs. The delegation was headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Kazakhstan Kim Daesik and President of Sanmeng University Baek Ung Gi.

During the visit, the Korean delegation met with the rector of SKU named after M. Auezov Kozhamzharova Daria Perneshovna, where the parties discussed the possibilities and prospects of the Korean Educational Center on the basis of SKU named after. M. Auezov, whose goal is to organize language courses for learning the Korean language and getting acquainted with Korean culture and traditions for everyone. As a result of the meeting, the Parties reached an agreement on organizing an academic exchange on mutually beneficial terms, as well as expanding cooperation in the field of commercialization of joint research and development and exchange of experience in relevant areas of research activities.
