On June 25, 2021 at the Faculty of Law of the South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov held a round table on "The concept of introducing a three-tier model between the powers and duties of law enforcement agencies, prosecutors and courts" topic with the participation of representatives of the judicial system, prosecutor's office and law enforcement agencies in Shymkent.

Representatives of the Shymkent prosecutor's office, the court, the Police Department, the anti-corruption Office of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Shymkent, and the Office of Economic Investigations in Shymkent took part in the round table.

Within the framework of the Address by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev dated September 1, 2020 "Kazakhstan in a new reality: time for action", discussion of the modernization of the criminal sphere according to the model of developed countries of the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) with a distribution of powers between the criminal prosecution authorities, the prosecutor's office and the court at the stage of pre-trial investigation and the introduction of a three-tier model was the purpose of the round table.
